As many Bastrop residents are aware, there are two groups of people working in Bastrop County to disseminate information about the proposed Central Texas Airport. The campaign associated with GUARD is Say No To CTA. The second group is StopCTA.
StopCTA will be hosting an informational Meet & Greet at the Bastrop Producers Market located at 977 Highway 71 West on Saturday, October 1 from 11:00am – 3:00pm. Concerned citizens who have been researching the proposed Central Texas Airport issue since last year will be available to answer questions and provide in depth information in a relaxed and conversational atmosphere. Folks can drop by at any time and stay as long as they like.
Say No to CTA will be having a General Member meeting on Thursday, October 6th. Time and location will be posted soon.

My apologies for the late notice but we have decided to cancel the GUARD meeting scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 8th. Our thoughts are with those who have lost their homes and the many people working to battle the fires and take care of those in need in our County.

Please come by and get an update from members about Say No to CTA activities. Find out what you can do to help stop CTA and EcoMerge Green Corporate Centers from landing their development on the banks of the river along two farm to market roads.
Join like minded county residents who prefer not to see county tax dollars plowed back into an ill conceived private development.
Although this planned development is already 6 months behind schedule, it’s not over. Our continued pressure on our county government, the developers, the planned site’s current land owners, the Army Corps of Engineers, and TCEQ to hold public hearings, conduct federally sanctioned environmental studies, and listen to our concerns is needed. We need your help to do that.
Please join us.
